I’ve had this thing for around five years and used it dozens of times, both at home and while camping. It’s large, so you can cook bacon and eggs for a crowd or several steaks. You can stirfry in it and since the sides are high, the food won’t fly out. It’s the perfect size to fit over the Snow Peak Fireplace and Grill (with the Grill Bridge attached) or the SP double burner stove or Large BBQ Box. It also fits perfectly on my friend’s Coleman double burner stove. It’s also thick enough that it heats fairly evenly, not just over the burners. Also, because of the thickness, mine has never deformed. One note: this doesn’t have a non-stick coating and was never claimed to. Unlike a certain other reviewer, I actually read the product info that came with mine. I still have the box, and right on the front, it states that it ships with a rust-inhibiting coating which must be burned off and then the pan should be washed, dried and oiled before use.
This thing is built very sturdily. I don’t know what the weight limit is, but I keep one in my car and have used it to hold many heavy loads; groceries, firewood, glass to recycle, gear, etc.
The reason I bought this, an$ the reason I think it’s worth the seemingly high price, is that it’s a very cool origami-esque object. You can’t tell from the picture posted here, but the two halves of this thing can fold out, and lock in that position. And it remains stackable. So you could have these stacked on top of each other but not have to unstick them to access your stuff. Those clever Japanese!
