Perfect for hammock use

Written on Jul 27, 2015

I use the Mobile Mummy 1.5 for sleeping in a hammock, it is very easy to get into and out of, or move around. The arm holes are just what is needed. It packs VERY small! At 2 lb. it pairs well with other down clothes for sleeping in winter. I recommend it for cold weather use, but only in conjunction with well thought out clothing, depending on temperatures. Excellent quality, well designed. A permanent piece of backpacking gear for me from now on.

Worth it's weight

Used for backpacking
I quickly learned to use fuel such as the dry filament strands of spruce and pine, or other VERY VERY small twigs, not anything as large as even a pencil, and, stir(poke)the residue in the fire cup a little every so often to get a complete burn. Also, as the water starts to get to boiling, have more water to refill quickly, And I don't have the fire cup so full of fuel that I

I am disappointed that Nalgene has discontinued making this product. I have three, and would buy more. The top rim fits any water filter or dispensing attachments including my Katadin Hiker Pro and MSR. So, when filling the canteens, they cannot spill unexpectedly. The canteens all stand up well on their own. The top rim is a little awkward in the pack, but, a reasonable trade-off for the size an

I love it!

I do destination backpacking, not distance. So, weight\size is not a factor. I only need hot water for cooking, and the M Kelly is perfect. With well thought out preperation, having fuel ready to burn, and, the kettle full of water, it does boil acceptably fast.

It requires some attention to give it just the right amount of burnable materials to keep it going, and to be sure the water never boils
