Black Diamond Camalot C4 Camming Devices
The C4s are the most popular cam out there and for good reason. If you are starting out building your first trad rack or adding more, you can't go wrong here. Twin axle design improves their expansion range and makes them rated for holding falls passively with the cam fully open. This negates a common reason that protection pulls and is great piece of mind.

Black Diamond Transition Climbing Gloves
A thin leather glove with synthetic stretchy back. Pretty warm, for what they are.
I love these for mixed climbs and general mountaineering. I will probably use them for cold weather rock climbing too. I wear them under big mittens. When things get technical, the mittens come off, and these stick to rock like a chalked hand. Also great for manipulating ice tools. I can tie my shoelaces while wear
