DV's really nails the nitty gritty of the DownMat 9, so use that review for details. To it, I add:
1) I've used this for snow camping and it makes a huge difference in comfort, warmth, and weight. My system is to use the DownMat9 on top of some sort of IR reflective space blanket. Otherwise, one must carry and use 2 other type pads of your choice, plus a space blanket to get acceptible, not th
