The chair works so much better than the cheaper knockoffs found at the big box places. I am 5’10” and 220lbs and this chair fits and supports me well. I really like how they incorporated lower back support into the chair, which is sorely missing in the knockoffs. The fabric folds over as you recline and gives really nice support the lower back. The recline function works flawlessly and requires no effort by the user to engage it. The head pillow is plenty big enough to be comfortable and the ability to move it helps dial in the comfort. Set up and break down are easy if you are familiar with the schlock cord designs and only needs a little practice to get it down if you are not.
The only improvement would be to add an integrated footrest or sell a matching ottoman. I would love to see how NEMO would design it. Until then I will have to use the one I ordered from another online retailer.
This tool appears to be top quality, my first Leatherman product. I would have preferred scissors to an awl. The addition of tweezers and a toothpick would be nice as well. The tool is currently quite stiff to open and close, hoping this will get easier with time. The one handed operation of the blade would be easier if it had a little protrusion. The bit driver is nice but would be better if you could close the tool with this extended. Can’t wait to put this to use out in the backcountry.
I have had a chance to use this several times now in the Adirondacks. It does a really good job at repelling mosquitos and most other flying insects. The claimed 15 feet is a bit much but it definitely covers an area big enough for cooking or just sitting about. Haven’t used it for black fly season yet but I hope it will work just as well then.
I tried just about every type of pillow. I am a side sleeper so I need something that is thick. This pillow is thick enough and works well because of the indent which allows it to come down further than my shoulder which supports my jaw much better. The valve is easy to work and I did not have to refill with air despite the temps dropping 30 degrees from when it was filled. My only adjustments would be to make it flat rather than tilted away from the indent and a bit larger, add 6 inches to width, 3 to depth and 2 to height as I found it most comfortable when not completely filled with air.
I am 5’10”, 230lbs. I wear an XL in all my jackets. The hip and arm length were great and the fit is slim, which I was expecting. The problem is that the armpits and shoulders are very tight. It felt like I would tear apart the jacket at the seams if I used it for adventure activities. The jacket is also not very compresssible. I didn’t try to get it into its pocket but when packing it up to return I compressed it as much as I could and it was about as big as a 2 liter bottle.
Anyone who doesn’t have this is really wasting their time. This works very well as it’s intended purpose but I would be hesitant about using this as a dry bag or camp shower. The design is fantastic since it uses a second line that expands and creates double the size to capture air. I have found it most useful to blow a couple times down into the bag which helps it open up and capture air. I wouldn’t chance using this as a dry bag for any items that could potentially puncture it, much cheaper to replace a traditional one. I also wouldn’t try to use this as a camp shower for fear of introducing bacteria into your sleeping pad. As a final suggestion to Big Agnes, this accessory should be included with every inflatable pad as it is truly an essential.
I bought this for use with an Amok Draumr hammock. It fits well and is very supportive. The pad is warm and comfortable. I did quite a bit of research before selecting this particular pad and have not regretted the he choice. The best feature is the pressure release valve making it extremely easy to adjust the firmness. I can’t wait to get it out on my next kayaking trip.
