Typical Zamberlan construction.

Written on Jun 21, 2016

I did not keep the boots because it did not fit my foot but the boot is well constructed and review is more for sizing info. My feet are shaped squarish in the toe box and I have bony heels. The length is true to size, the toe box is generous for a D foot. The problem I had with the boot was in the heel which rubbed and would have caused a blister on me. Weighed 4 lbs 3 oz. for size 12. Let me repeat I have difficult feet to get right for hiking boots. This is a nice boot, hope the sizing info helps.

Best comprimise

Taking my pillow from home is comfy but kind of cumbersome. I tried some other camp pillows but couldn't find the right mix. This one is pretty good, inflates easy and lets you add to the bottom with a towel or clothes to make it even higher while the soft top doesn't make it feel like your head is on a balloon.

Great boot, wider toe box.

Written on Dec 28, 2014

I did not get to hike in these boots yet but I am just posting a review for sizing info. This model of Zamberlan has a wider toe box than other models. I would not classify these as an E width boot but just a boot with more room in the toe box. Most Zamberlans fit a foot that the smaller toes slant backward from the big toe. My foot is more square in shape so I need more room in the toe box. The length of the size 12 boot is equal to a size 12 1/2 Lowa so there is more length than most size 12 boots. I don't really need these but they were on sale and I could not pass them up so they will sit on the shelf until needed. Size 12 weigh about 4 lb. 5 oz.

Great Boot

Written on Aug 05, 2014

I ordered these but returned because I did not like the fit for my foot. This review is just to help others with fit decisions. Boot runs true to length with a wider toe box than most other brands have today. The boot has a stiff leather heal with kind of a ridge where the leather ends and the ankle padding begins. If you do not mind it than it is really a great boot. For me I know I would hav

Nice light weight hiker

I did not get to try them out yet so this review is just for sizing info. They run about 1/2 size too small, width is normal, insert is kind of flimsy, nice padded heel, very light weight. My perfect size is 12 1/2 so the 13 fit perfect.

Nice boot but runs narrow.

Nice boot but runs narrow in the toe box. Overall the size 12.5 boot was about 1/4" less width than a reg. width size 12 Salomon 4D and the same length. I was not impressed with the use of vinyl on the collar. Nice lacing system. Very stiff sole which I like. I did not get to hike in them. Boots today with using so much synthetic material do not stretch like the older full leather style.

not for a tall guy

I was looking for this size of daypack that fit a tall back (6'4") and this was not it. It is a nice pack but the waist belt ended up mid section.

Nice pants

I am 6"4", 210 lbs. I ordered the 38w long. The length fit is perfect (34" inseam). The waist is larger than what I need. The 36 w would probably fit me best but they weren't on sale so I will use a belt or suspenders. Nice light weight. Only negative is they have a slight swishing nylon sound but not too bad. I bought them for use during spring weather in Yellowstone.
