I have to admit that this is the first Montane Jacket I have ever tried. My general view is why have I missed this product line until now. Clearly Montane products do not get the love they deserve from the buying public. The brand name is generally obscure, at least it was for me. Maybe my exposure is just lacking but these have never been mentioned in the top ten reviews I have read. Regardless of the product. The product is well designed, well made from quality components and material. For me the fit was listed as athletic, which in clothes speak means slim fit. They are not lying. If you like more room especially in your jackets, or you like to layer you should size up. I recommend this product to anyone. I will definitely be looking more favoredly on Montane products in the future. Give them a try you might like what you get.

I generally like Rab products and the Xenon 2.0 jacket is no exception. The jacket is well made and the fit is typical Rab. Which means that even thought it says that is a regular fit, this one runs snug. That is not a bad thing unless you like a roomier fit. I am fine with the fit as is. The zipper can be a little tricky, and that is not because the zipper is more in keeping with the European design aesthetics but the bottom stop, insertion pin, and pull tab are smaller than I thought would be practical. Also getting the zipper started is more like an exercise in ESP than just starting a zipper. I had to resort to actually seeing the insertion pin go into the bottom stop. This is not a big deal but it is more time consuming. All in all I think it is a great product but if you want a little more room you should size up.

Like the title said I really love these hoodies. The fit and finish is without major flaws. The evidences of Rap quality is self evident. Seams are nicely done and the hoody is comfortable enough to sleep in, which is exactly what I do. Yes I sleep in hoodies, as for some strange reason I now am almost always cold. not only is this good to sleep in but it is great to wear outdoors. Just don't go from sleeping in the shirt to wearing it outside, that would just be too weird. The fit is very comfortable with just the right amount of give so you don't feel constricted in your movements. All in all it is an excellent hoodie and I recommend it without reservation.

In general I like this product but there are a few issue that I have with it. The first issue is the fabric texture it is significantly different than what I expected. It is a little coarser than I would have preferred. The fit is a little boxer than what I have come to expect with Rab designs. Also it is not tapered at all and fit much fuller than it should be. Finally there is a little design detail on the front which serves no other purpose than what I have taken just to play games with making me think that it should have a purpose which eludes me. All these issues are minor and while I do like the shirt I am not sure I will order another one in a different color. If it became available. The shirt is still of high quality but like the title said it is good but not perfect.
