I just wrote my review on the Peak Design Everyday Backpack as well. I bought that backpack, which is amazing, and this clip at the same time before a big trip I just took.
This clip is awesome. If you EVER bring a camera with you hiking, backpacking, around the city, or anywhere, you should look at this. The plate screws into the bottom of any camera, and that plate clicks into place in the clip, which is attached to your backpack strap. I always have a camera with me when I go backpacking, and this is the best way to make sure your camera is always accessible, and not annoying to walk with. You never have to take your bag off to get your camera out, and it doesn't flop around against your stomach like it would with a camera strap. Just push the red button and slide the camera out. When you are done, slide it back into place and you get a reassuring click so you know it is locked. And if you want to really lock it, you just rotate the little red button.
Genius design, and I am a big fan. Pretty excited to have finally tried some Peak Design stuff.
I'd heard a lot about Peak Design and decided to get this backpack along with the Capture Clip before a big trip. I am a bag geek - And this bag is amazing. First, the fabric on the outside looks great, and is bomber. I've had it in full rain days in Seattle and not had any water get inside. The storage options are pretty much endless. I've used it to carry camera gear, and it is the best bag I have had for that purpose, hands-down. You can customize the space inside to fit whatever size lens, body, flashes you are carrying. What really surprised me though was how much I like it for just everyday use. I currently have all the dividers out but 1, which I use to separate a space for my cords, mouse etc...and above that I have a big space for books, games, a jacket or whatever else I am carrying. And there is a laptop sleeve, iPad sleeve and "extras" space (for keys, wallet etc..in the back. There are hidden storage toggles that you can use to carry all sorts of things on the outside.
Getting into the bag is really cool, as you can access the body of the bag from either side...Hard to explain in writing, but you just swing the bag in front of you (either direction) and there is a 2-way zipper that allows you to get inside. Nice for quick access when you don't want to take the pack off and go through the top. The closure system they are using on the top is unlike anything I have seen. It uses a strong magnet and latch to close, and there are multiple points for the
