Best of Byer Cots
Having owned/used most of the other Byer cots over the years, this model appers to be step up, as well as,a solid purchase as soon as you take it out of the carry bag. She's way better built than many cots on the market and the materials, fit and finish appear to have been an investment toward a quality product. If weight and stored size is not an issue, I cant see going wrong with this cot. Also, the cot is plenty long and wide enough for a 6'1; 235lbs frame. I have used this cot twice and enjoyed an excellent nights sleep on both ocassions. ENJOY.
Pros:
- height from floor/ground, length, width
Cons:
- NONE
Best Used for:
- Car / base camping

Quality, Quality,Quality
Purchased this cot for camping. It's made extremely well, easy to set up, easy to take down and comfortable to sit on and sleep on. Folds up compact and fits into carry case. Am 72 years old and it's light enough for me to carry. Love products that exceed my expections, and this one does. Would highly recommend it.
Pros:

Great comfy cot
I’m a tall fella and this cot is perfect for the taller folks out there! It is also very stable and quite comfortable. I only wish it were a bit wider, making rolling over easier. Looking foward to many many campouts with this awesome cot!

Comfort, quick set up & take down.
Purchased the EasyCot for sleeping in the truck under the topper. Original thought was recycling a ~3/4” thick close cell foam pad and just sleeping on the bed floor. Comfort and functional issue. Comfort ok. Pad’s static charge picks up dust and debris.
The Good:
1. Personally find the cot very comfortable.
2. Takes about 30 seconds once out of storage bag to set up. Just as quick and simple to fold down to storage size. No parts. Just the complete one piece cot and storage bag. Easy to deploy even under poor lighting.
3. Stitching and materials seem to be of high quality. Time will tell.
4. Versatility. Relative to ground sleeping. Should be a bit cooler sleeping in warmer temps. With a pad warmer in cooler temps.
5. Frame is heavy duty steel with what looks to be a good painted/powder coated finish.
6. Wider and higher than most camp cots.
7. “Reinforcement” straps on the bottom side gives you the option for slipping in a pad to provide bottom side insulation. Old 1st gen 3/4 length ThermaRest and early gen ThermaRest Regular size NeoAir both work. NeoAir pumped up to very firm was about the max size that would fit.
The “bad”:
1. Cot is on the heavy side.
Recommend this cot for vehicle camping, base camp use or any other use not requiring you becoming a pack animal.

Large cots, bigger than you expect!!
PROS-Pleasantly surprised at the width and length of these cots. Stitching is very good, quite comfortable to lay on them, can't wait to take them camping. Even the carry bags are of great quality. These should last a long, long time.
CONS- Folded up it is still is large. Not for any hiking or long distance carrying. Will command a sizable portion of your trunk or cargo space when transporting.

Great Cots!
Great quality cots at a great price. Very well made with good quality steel and canvas type materials. Folds up in seconds and comes down just as easy. Good quality storage / carrying bag as well. As the frame is made of steel, they are a little heavier than aluminum frame cots .. but much sturdier in use. These are full size ~ 31" wide and longer cots so very comfortable... well worth the few dollars extra over narrower less quality cots on the market. We plan to use then primarily for tent camping and stop using air matresses, but easily be also used and stored away for needed extra sleeping accomodations at home when needed. Delivery was faster than expected as well.
