I haven't had it on the trail yet, but I tried it at home. Reasonably comfortable, seems like it will be great for short backpack trips. Straps are very adjustable. Padding is good. It rolls up to slightly larger than the diameter of a Nalgene bottle.
Pros:
- Comfortable, can sit in backpacking tent
Cons:
- a bit heavy for long backpacks, good for weekends
Would recommend: Yes
Great portable chair
Bought this for a lightweight chair that I could take on multi-day backpacking trips to have somewhere dry to sit in the rainy PNW. This chair can be rolled up, or laid flat on my pack--either way, it is light, durable, and comfy! It is similar to many other stadium-type seats, though the seat pads are thinner, more compact foam. Great chair, worth the price :)
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Portable
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Camping
- Stadium Seat

Is it worth?
If you want to make it even more comfortable, you can add termarest trail seat (self-inflating seat cushion).

My favorite Crazy Creek yet
This is my favorite Crazy Creek chair yet! I love the higher back, providing more support and comfort. The hex design makes the chair more lightweight and pliable, meaning easier to use, but just as comfortable. My family still has some of the classic Crazy Creek chairs, but these are by far our favorites.
