My son is 2 1/2 and absolutely loves his new Kikki pack. He has a longer torso than most kids his age so we went with the Kikki pack because the dimensions seemed perfect for his size. I couldn't be more happy with our purchase. Our son has nonverbal autism and one of his therapist had recommended that we get him a backpack that he could wear around when we are out in public as a source of pressure therapy. The chest strap keeps this pack in place and keeps the pack from shifting so the weight in it is evenly distributed upon his shoulders. We had a Deuter hiking pack in the past so I know Deu...

Super cute, durable, and well thought out kid’s pack. Like that the fabric is blue sign approved. Kid likes the critter design, and the chest strap is a must for little shoulders. Altogether a nice first backpack.

Deuter manufactures well designed, high quality gear with thoughtful details for adults. The Kikki offers the same attributes in a cute, kid-size pack. I purchased the Kikki pack for my 30 month old grandson. He’s tall and thin and the pack fits well now and is adjustable for future growth. The pack offers easy access - for small hands - to the interior compartment. The exterior, mesh side pockets are the perfect size for storing smaller water bottles or stashing a jacket. The reflective trim is a thoughtful addition for safety. There is no way my grandson will wear out this pack. Good thing - his little sister likes it, too.
Pros:
Well built
Good design
Cons:
None apparent

I love this pack. I purchased this for my 20 month old daughter for daycare and weekend hikes. She loves the chest buckle and having her own pack while hiking, the side pocket is just the right size for her child water bottle. I recommend this pack for any toddler to grow with.

Absolutely adorable design, unique from all other kids' backpacks I have seen. Material and padding is top notch, as in the adult backpacks. Most kids' bags are so flimsy. Love that it has the chest strap buckle to take the strain off the shoulders. Just wish the side pockets were a little bigger to fit a water bottle. Would be nice to have a pink or purple color option for a bit more girly.
