Most Helpful Positive Review Great lunch time cooker
Read the reviews, which were lack luster, and went ahead and bought. Nice little unit. Boils up to 1 1/2 cups of liquid easy enough. 2 cups, better plan on two fuel tabs which are cheap. Small and light. Put in my pack for hunting and fishing trips. Love eating a hot meal @ lunch time when everyone else are having energy type bars. Takes 6 or 7 min. to heat up but in the woods or streamside I am

Great addition to BOB

by Sue S., Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on February 29, 2016
This cooking set is sturdy, compact and completely functional and useful. I have not tried it yet myself (appreciated all the helpful reviews) and will test it out on a fishing trip, but plan on stashing the sets I purchased in our bug out bags.

Esbit Cookset Review

by Ed C., Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on February 6, 2016
This is my first solid fuel cook set. I tested it out and it works as expected. Super nice product and at just 7 oz (total) it is super lightweight! It took about 8-10 minutes to boil 16 oz of water and the tablet burned for about 16 minutes total, so it kept my coffee warm also (I used the pot as my coffee cup). If you are looking for a super lightweight basic cook set, this is inexpensive and simple to use, especially for shorter duration excursions.

Cook stove

by Gary B., Written on January 1, 2016
I've wanted this stove for months. It appears to be a great design. Don't be fooled to think it is set up, however, to be multi-fuel ready. It is only set up for fuel tablets.

Perfect size and weight A+++++

by gwhunter, from AL, United States Written on September 10, 2013
Small and light enough to carry. Holds just enough water for a meal and coffee. Works great with the ESBIT solid fuel tabs. Cant ask for more from a lightweight easy to use item.

Esbit Cookset: Awesome for Backpacking

by Scott, from UT, United States Written on September 10, 2013
The Esbit Cookset is great for the main task of heating water for cooking and drinking. Simple, light weight and right to the point of utility. Its outstanding for backpacking and hiking and designed for efficient heating.

Only con would be to design a version with a larger cup 750ml to allow you to use water for food and hot beverage.

Works for me!

by Mando, Written on September 10, 2013
This little kit performs well. Brings water to a boil with less than one Esbit fuel tablet. Like any stove, keep it out of the wind and use a lid on your pot for best results.

OK, but it's Esbit

by willie, Written on September 10, 2011
This is an all-in-one Esbit solution for boiling a 16 oz. cup of di-hydrogen oxide... i wish campsaver would offer the Esbit alcohol version, but was able to Dremel off the Esbit pan and use this cookset (compatible w/Coleman's Exponent Solo anodized cookset) with a 'half-penny' alcohol stove - as anyone knows, hexamine is messy, smelly, and a PITA to clean up! This cookset would be *perfect* if E

Great for boiling water for quick meals

by maddogfireman, Written on September 10, 2011
I use this stove for weekend trips where I just heat water for mashed potatoes or ramen noodles-works very well for this. The supplied pot cleans easily and heats up better than an esbit tab on the stell esbit folding stove, better windscreen. Looking for someting like this for a while!

Great little stove for a quick brew!

by Diana from Sout, from CA, United States Written on September 10, 2011
The Esbit Cookset is so compact that it fits in my hand. I throw it in my daypack when I patrol the forest on weekends. It's the perfect size for a cup of coffee or soup on the trail. It works for small-size dehydrated food preparation too. The entire kit fits inside the cooking pot. The cookset is a little heavier than titanium kits, but for price you can't beat it. The stove uses Esbit fuel

Has Potential, But Flawed Design

by willie, Written on July 24, 2009
This stove has potential, but is flawed in several respects. First, you *will* need to use a windscreen to achieve a boil. Second, the stand fails to provide adequate height for flames to achieve max heat of the small 16 oz. pot. Third, the Esbit tab holder is riveted to the bottom of the stand, ensuring a real mess and difficulty in cleaning. My first problem solution was to fashion a windscreen
