Its ok but the savings in weight on the stove is more than made up in the fuel it requires. If all you want to do is boil less than a liter of not real cold water, then I guess this will do. But the fuel required to do so for me was 70 ml. over a 4 day trip to Big Bend National Park, I used 2 bottles of Heet, and 1 of Isoprol alcohol. Cooking anything required 2 or more refuels, plus heating water for coffee, and hot water to clean the pot. Using Esbit, I barely was able to heat a liter of cold water. I did not try out heating with wood, as it is not allowed in the park. Also, while it never did fall over or the pot fall off, it felt like it would at times. I also needed to use a wind screen for greater efficiency. Which doesn't come with the stove. All in all a disappointment for my use.
