I decided to try this sleeping pad out because I am side sleeper and would also get sore hips with the Thermarest Prolite 4. I love this thing. It is heavy, comparatively speaking. But for me it's absolutely worth the extra weight. Using this pad allows me to sleep much better and that makes days 2, 3, 4, etc way more fun.

Bottom line, if you are willing to carry the extra weight so you can sleep
