Excellent quality pad, warm and pretty stout for a lightweight air pad! Used it in the Sierra's for a 4 day Winter backpacking outing and the UL 7 downmat kept me toasty. The temps dropped to the mid 20's but this pad kept me from feeling the cold ground. I have an REI 25 degree synthetic bag that left me chilly when using my old Thermarest UL pad. It was either time for a warmer (and costly) bag or a new pad. So I checked out reviews for a good Winter pad and liked what I read about this one and am happy to say it meets my expectations. It weighs a couple of ounces more than a non-down pad but the trade off for a warm nights sleep is well worth the extra ounces in my opinion. Man's gotta sleep!
