Excellent quality pad, warm and pretty stout for a lightweight air pad! Used it in the Sierra's for a 4 day Winter backpacking outing and the UL 7 downmat kept me toasty. The temps dropped to the mid 20's but this pad kept me from feeling the cold ground. I have an REI 25 degree synthetic bag that left me chilly when using my old Thermarest UL pad. While it's comfortable against skin and not noisy, I was disappointed in the fact that when sitting up I could feel the ground or when I laid on my side, my hips would come close to touching the ground. Laying on back it seemed comfortable but I'm a side sleeper. I'm 6'... Read more
This pad does have a higher R value, so it will definitely work as a 3 season pad. It could be a little warm in the summer, but you can compensate by using a lighter sleeping bag or sheet depending on the temperatures.
