The product description indicates this pack is intended for multi-day climbing routes. It is not sized for such uses, and it does not have a 50 liter (3,000 cubic inch) capacity. To illustrate this, I stuffed the pack with pillows to its maximum capacity and it easily fit inside a Metolious Sentinel mini haul bag rated at 2,700 cubic inch capacity. Furthermore, without a floating top lid, it can't realize it's full capacity with the collar extended. Let the buyer beware, this pack doesn't have anywhere near the advertised capacity and is not suitable for multi-day uses, especially if your using it to haul climbing gear in addition to overnight survival stuff.
That said, it is a very well made pack for day use at the Crag. I was all set to return it for a refund, and my youngest son indicated he would like it for a high school graduation present ... even offered to return my old Gregory ballistics cloth Big Wally he'd been using for cragging for the last few years. That says a lot because the Big Wally is a heck of a pack.
Bottom line, and excellent pack but misrepresented in the marketing lit. This is a very well built and well thought out day pack, but is way too small for overnight sojourns.
Pros:
Well made and good design
Cons:
Way too small for advertized multiday useage.
Best Used for:
Day cragging
Would recommend: Yes
