Most Helpful Positive Review A Backpacker/Photographer's best friend
I love me some MulitMat! When I go backpacking, I carry almost fifteen pounds of camera equipment so everything else that goes in my pack has to be very light, or it has to serve multiple purposes. The MM excels at both. In camp, the MM insulates my Exped hammock when nights are colder. If it isn't cold, the MM covers the ground under my hammock so I can enter and exit the hammock with clean feet. When I'm packing up, I lay it on the ground to keep everything clean while loading my pack. It's the last item to be packed, and it is on the outside of my pack so it's always readily available while...

Versatile outdoor product

by Rob, from CO, United States Written on April 3, 2014
These mats are extremely versatile. I originally purchased one to use inside a tent for the floor for which it excelled. The only drawback is the neoprene backing is somewhat fragile...I used it under a cot (to protect the tent) and it got chewed up...but then I knew I was taking a chance with that application. I carry one to use as a "floor" over a ground cloth while backpacking. I even purch

Don't leave home without it

I use this MultiMat for cycle touring and summer camping. Insulates from cold ground and doesn't slip. Also a great ground barrier when using a Bivy sack. Buy this item.

Quality and versatility

by Groucho, Written on December 12, 2013
Would've given 5 stars but I've not had the mat long enough to see if the stitching is going to stay put. Otherwise, there are so many uses for this and the price is right. In a hammock, it can be used w/ an SPE to keep your backside warm down into the mid 30's. Beyond that, you'll need to get creative.
Bottom line, excellent water/cold barrier for any activity and very comfortable.

Love these mat

by christian, from NSW, Australia Written on September 10, 2013
I love these mats, I bought two ! Inside the tent, or for picnic's, or to protect my exped sleeping mat. I bring it along on my motorbike. Very light.

I reckon its very versatile! I am sure, there are many more uses, I haven't even thought off.

Cons;
I have an issue with. But it might just be me. it takes a while to roll it up properly. It wants to bubble.

otherwise great value for money.
