Most Helpful Positive Review Most comfortable mat ever!
We own 13 different sleeping mattresses and this one is the best by far! If anything ever happens to this mat, I will be heartbroken! The weight is low (27.41 oz. by my scale) and it packs small. For a couple (or even for someone who wants PLENTY of space) this mat is perfect. We use it with ZPacks'...

Most Helpful Negative Review Fell short of expectation
While the video review of this look pretty good, the actual usable sleeping area for one person is about 17 inches, which to me was way too narrow. The material is also just 20D, making it extremely lightweight and prone to puncture. I found when I sat up I bottomed out. I also found that side sleep...

Great for couples sleep system

by Jumigo, from MT, United States Written on September 15, 2020
Favorite part of the pad is that there is no cold middle crack to fall into and each side is inflated separately. I’m a side sleeper, and this pad is plenty thick to keep my hips and shoulders off of the ground. I think this pad works better with a couples sleeping bag, you might slip off of the sides if you and your partner are in separate bags. It’s warm to sleep on, though we have a 15 degree backcountry bed Duo sleeping Bag and have only used the pad down to 40 degrees probably. Love that it’s so compact and light weight. I’m just not a fan of the vertical baffling. I think I prefer the Nemo tensor style or horizontal baffles. But this pad is very quiet! NO potato chip bag vibes!
Pros:
  • Comfortable
  • Ultralight
  • quiet
  • separate inflation per person
Cons:
  • Vertical baffles
Best Used for:
  • Couples
  • Ultralight

Nice Sleeping Pad

by wjrabbit, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on April 23, 2020
I've only used this pad 5 times on a solo trip. I love that I can blow up only one side with the included compression sack. It packs down fairly small so it's not really a big deal if you're traveling with yourself.

Nice Sleeping Pad

by JIN, from OR, United States Written on April 21, 2020
This is one of my favorite pieces of gear! I have this pad paired up with the Big Agnes Cabin Creek double sleeping bag and love it. Slips into the pad compartment on the BA perfectly. Expeds valve system is killer, with an inflate valve with a check valve, and a deflate valve with no check valve. This means when you are inflating the pad, the air doesn't escape between breaths

We have used this mat on every backpacking trip since we bought it.
We use it with the double nemo quilt system. We slept on it for a whole month in Patagnoia. Super comfy and roomy. Great purchase. Worth the price tag.
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

by Brian S., Written on July 11, 2017
Used the EXPED SynMat Hyperlite Duo long/wide as our main sleep pad for 10 days in the Sierras this year. Was the best of the pads we owned over the years. I highly recommend this pad!

We just got back from 4 days and the dbl air mattress worked great-easy full and easy deflation...nice and comfy for the two of us, without sliding around, like using two mattresses!! Thumbs up HIGH for this product!

ExPed Duo sleeping Pad- LOVE IT!

by Jeff W., Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on May 16, 2016
I was looking for a mat to use with a double Big Agnes Sleeping bag but didn't want the single persons that fit in the sleeping bag. I was sold on this after looking at the video of it's use on the Exped website because of it's size.

All I can say is that this product WORKS just as advertised and with the Snozel Bag it inflates in less than 3 mins once you get used to it. Quick, Easy and Comfortable...as well as SMALL storage size. Get one, you will not regret it.

Super compact 3-season pad for 2 people

by Philippe, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on April 29, 2016
I got this pad because it is extremely compact, fairly light and it removes the awkward gap when sleeping with that special someone. I used this pad at Whitney Portal in April and I slept a bit cold. It is a great 3-season pad but the R rating is not high enough to make it a 4 season pad.
