Reviews & Ratings for Exped Synmat UL 9
— 5 reviews — Page 1
Crazy light, crazy comfortable, crazy warm and it packs up very small -- what else can one say? The only negative is that I wouldn't buy this without also getting the Pillow Pump or the other small pump because, if you were heading out on a multi-day trip, blowing it up every night would be dizzying.
If you want to stay warm, this is the mat for you. I am 6'-4" 240lb. I got the UL 9 LW. It is lightweight (30 oz) and roomy enough so I don't feel like I'm sleeping on a inflated plank. I used it in the Sierra's with a temp of -5 and was warm and toasty. Its pricey, but worth every penny, after a long day on the trail treat yourself.

I recently took my new Synmat UL 9 to Max Patch on the Appalachian Trail and it worked flawlessly. The temps at night ranged from about 20 to 25 but I didn't notice one bit. I am a restless sleeper but didn't bottom out once. This thing is amazing and I will give more reviews on it at www.letsgohikeit.com
