Most Helpful Positive Review This is my last pad purchase !!!
After trying 5 other sleeping pads over the last few years, this meets every expectation! I'm a cold sleeper so I need a warm pad even in the summer. I need a light pad as well and I hike in high elevations so I especially like to not have to use my lungs to blow up my pad. The large UL pump sack works awesome! 1 bag blows up my regular wide pad. It's comfy and super warm! I don't see me needing another pad ever again.

Unfortunately, I Purchased It

by A-C, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on May 2, 2018
After about six uses, one of the sections delaminated, so there is an elevated section running through the middle of the entire pad. Now it’s unusable. I read a few reviews saying that this would happen and thought “well, it won’t happe to me.” Unfortunately, I was wrong. Prior to that, it was ok. I liked that it was wide.

Packs small, high R value

by Jessica, from WA, United States Written on September 5, 2017
Great product. Haven't used it in testy conditions yet but seems to work well. Inflates relatively quickly. Can be hard to pack back in; you'll really need to work to get the air out. Warm and comfortable. Doesn't deflate, as far as I can tell, but of course temperature will affect level of inflation.
Pros:
  • Warm, packs small
Cons:
  • None

Well made

This is the 2nd Exped pad I’ve bought and I’m very happy with both of them. I haven’t tested this one out in colder temps yet, but it’s very light and compact. It inflates fast with the Exped pump bag and the valves are so easy to use both for inflating and for deflating.

Pad Failed - Known Issue

by Chris M., Written on June 25, 2017
The interior baffles came loose causing the pad to bulge in spots. Expedia replacing for free. Apparently a known issue.

Best Backpacking Sleeping Pad in the market, IMO

by Tiffany H., Written on December 19, 2016
I own two ExPed sleeping pads now and love them both (summer & winter, and the insulated WinterLite is super warm). They are very lightweight, making them great for backpacking. But the main reason I go with ExPed is because of their superb customer service. One of my pads had a baffle blow out when I placed my knee and all of my weight on it (my fault). ExPed replaced the pad and put one of their pillows in the box as well, all free of charge. They are the best of the best in outdoor gear and people.

Light, warm, comfortable

by Ken H., Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on August 15, 2016
This is a light pad with an independently tested R-value rating of 6.0 (Exped says 4.9 on website). Comfortable and durable. I use the Exped Schnozzel (sp?) to inflate, works great.

Compact and very warm

by Hackman, Verified Owner from Hong Kong Written on March 4, 2016
I'm a back sleeper so the mummy shaped pad doesn't cause any issue to me, whether or not I've stuffed the pad into the sleeping bag. I also uses the Airmate lite 5, and i find that the pack size of WinterLite 9 is not a lot larger than the Airmate lite 5, but it's a lot warmer. I can use a lesser duty sleeping bag with the WinterLite 9.
