Truth be told I've bought this bag to use for the gym. I know it's more of a hiking bag for my hiking website but I wanted something that was strong to fit my shoes workout gear basketball and just have to take one bag only. I like the fact that it was waterproof and I had plenty a room. When I got the bag I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and all the ways that you can close it back up and sent you everything down using the side using the front very handy very basic but very well done.

I've used this bag as my suitcase during international travel as it exactly the carry-on size limit and I travel light.
Works well form packing gear for Kayak trips & camping in damp weather.
The single compartment with wide opening makes it easy to load, but a bit of a pain if what you need is on the bottom, so some forethought when packing is required.
