I read other reviews about this jacket and found most say sizing runs large. I didn’t want it to fit like an overcoat, but more well fitted instead. I am 5’6”, about 180 and wear a 42 in a jacket, so I’m shorter but not small. I ordered this jacket in size Small and it fits perfectly, and I can still wear it over a sweater. Also, it’s not as stiff as I thought it might be right out of the box. I’ve worn it walking a couple miles in a drizzling rain and it worked great. I do archaeological survey in Montana, and I think this jacket will be ideal for cool or wet days in the woods and plains.

The Filson Tin Cloth Cruiser is very well made. Because of the way the tin cloth is produced this coat is quite stiff at first until it is broken in . With that said it is tough as nails in the field and can withstand a lot of punishment . The sizing is perfect and well thought out with all the pockets. The cruiser is double layered in all the strategic areas that reinforce its ability to take on anything you throw at it.
Pros:
Perfect Sizing
Extremely well constructed
Cons:
NONE
Best Used for:
All outdoor activities
