Reviews & Ratings for Goal Zero Nomad 20 Solar Panel
— 5 reviews — Page 1
I bought this panel to augment a nomad 13 panel. I purchased a Sherpa 50 kit in mid November in which I received the nomad 13. I found that given just a little cloud cover the 13 wouldn't get the 50 charged up with the shorter days. By chaining the two together I can charge up the 50 in record time ...

Had to return the item because the pigtail I had didn’t quite connect to this version. This is the newer version and really it is a great product, Goal Zero makes excellent stuff.

The Nomad 20 is built well, and works as promised (no solar panel matches the marketing specs for power output). I needed the direct DC 18 volt output, which most other manufactures do not offer. If only used for cell phones, etc., I would have looked at the RAV Power 15 or Ankor Power Lite for a much lower price. Goal Zero builds a top quality unit, but they command a top price for it. This unit charges my smartphone in less than 4 hours, and works with my DC charge regulator (also Goal Zero) for lead acid batteries.
