granite gear duffel small/green
i bought my bag after about two or three months of researching similar, more expensive bags. in comparison to the helly hansen, north face base camp, patagonia bag and some various stuff on amazon the granite gear just kind of caught my eye. it went on sale at Campsaver and it was much less than any other site. I got the small duffel and my new grand trunk hammock for 55$ after shipment! I traveled with the GG duffel to DC for a week and Baltimore for a week. Robust Duffel
The fabric are thick, durable and good water proof (water will still goes in from thread hole but it is enough for protection of stuff...) Good for travel and you feel safe when throw it onto the conveyor in the airport. Packable with separate bag means you can use the bag alone, buy 1 get 2! Overall you will not have complain at this price.

Very pleased with the granite gear 20 inch duffle. Used it on a 5 week trip involving travel by air (7 flights) and car and had no issues. Innovative design, not too heavy, and pretty tough. Small enough to sit comfortably on top a carry-on size rollerboard suitcase. Checked it when traveling by air and it came through fine. Also works well as airline carry-on. This bag will become a regular part of my travel kit for longer trips.
One thing to note - Because the material is fairly strong and waterproof, it does not compact as well as some bags. This is a fine trade-off as bag is durable and holds it's shape when empty. IMHO shoulder strap is unnecessary (but can easily be removed).

Good and fair
In this price level, Grantite Gear do their best in the bag. Reasonable spacing with quite confortable.
However, the back can improve with more support.
As I am using 28L backpack, I recongized 40L which may suitable for me but the face is 40L is too small.

Bought this bag for a trip and it was awesome! i could carry it as a backpack which made it alot easier! Now that it's stored away it doesn't take much room from being so packable! :)
