When the pack arrived I almost put it back in the box and returned it - I'm glad I didn't because after packing it as a test and walking around the house I couldn't fault it - initially it seemed like it was going to be too flimsy (I'm used to burly packs like the Lowe Contour IV) but packed intelligently it felt fantastic on my back and completely packed came in at 20 lbs. This included the stove, tent, sleeping pad, food, clothes, personals and sleeping bag, even a super-light OR summit pack.
I've used it once on a Sierra backpack/peak bag since then and it worked really well, holding everything listed above and looking very tidy and neat into the bargain. I look forward to using it for my late spring to late fall trips in the High Sierra.
One note - I ordered a GG Compression Sack and one of the buckles broke on it - the same type of buckles are on the Crown 60 - this has caused some concern about how tough those buckles are, and therefore I have given 4 and not 5 stars.

used this pack on a weeklong hike in the green mountains in Vermont and it worked great. This is my first ultra light backpack and I'm never going back. The roll top was an easy access and from day one with a full load was packed tight to the last day with no food it could still be rolled tight.
I was worried about the frame and the non ajustable shoulder straps but being 6'3" with the regular/med fit it worked great. The stretch pockets on the size worked awesome and I could grab my water bottle with out taking off the pack. The front mesh pocket fit all my rain gear and a few snacks. I did put a belt pocket from ZPacks and it worked just fine.
On the last day of the hike my buddy's had enough and took a short cut out to a road and I continued the trail for another 10miles. I tried a little trail run with the light load and the pack was very snug and the run was enjoyable. All in all great pack

I purchased this pack because I am cutting my base pack weight. I have my 3 year old's and my gear down to a base pack weight of 20 lbs (will be dropping even lower soon). This pack has no problem carrying both our gear.
I love how stream line this pack is. There is plenty of room in this pack and can be used for day and thru hikes. It can even be used as a carry on for flights.

My first selection after reviewing several backpackd for ultralight hiking. I am amazed by its design in many small areas to save weight, comfort and back support does not been sacrificed. The back panel support is well designed holds the gear/weight close to my back without leaning to the sides.
-holds more than 60L
-strong and durable straps
Only drawback is the shoulder mesh pockets are too hi

This is two reviews one on campsaver.com and the pack. First I came upon campsaver through Granite Gear home page. At the time of purchase I was able to get 10% off add that they had it in stock best value I could find (spent 8 weeks researching packs and prices). Ultra easy check out and great communication on shipping! Will buy from campsaver again because of the ease and value.

I love the flexibility and comfort of this pack. It's so light and small enough to use as a day pack, but expands for multi-day hikes. No problems getting this through as carry-on. Take the belt off and put it inside the pack, and you can also take the frame out and put inside to make it even smaller. Best point: very comfortable on long hikes, and the hip belt does a great job of taking the load.

I can't believe how light this pack is. I wish it was larger than a 60 but I learned to make do with the size. I went for a 10 day hike with the (Sierras) mandatory Bearikade Expedition bear canister that took up a huge space but will go on another with the same 10 day length in August. I am 63 and my buddies are a few yrs younger but they went light on everything from what we had 35 yrs ago but
