Most Helpful Positive Review The Pack is Great, but Listing is Misleading
The listing says this pack is "Unisex" but Granite Gear's tag on the pack indicates they have 3 sizes per gender. The measurements for a Men's Regular (18-21" torso and max 42" hip) match the measurements on this listing. Campsaver should update the listing accordingly. For other potential customer...

Most Helpful Negative Review Light weight - but not fully thought out
Pros - hard pressed to find a pack this light at this low of a price point. Material and construction seem first rate. Cons - would have kept the pack except the side and back pockets are useless when the pack is loaded. There's not enough stretch to insert anything, making them totally useless.

Purchase for Weekend AT trips

by David, from AL, United States Written on August 11, 2020
Seems well made and fits on my back well. Look forward to a trip in 10 days on AT. Will hold more than I need. Easily adjust. Several separate pockets. Very pleased with appearance and weight. Happy with purchase

Quality staff

Just received my Granite gear crown 2 pack from campsaver. I didn't test it yet on field, but at first glance it's looks and feels very solid. Most of all I like that this pack has planty of room for storage and also you can remove lid and expend capacity even more if you need . also backpack color is more nice, rich blue than on picture. overall i like this product. cons... side pockets bit tight and I couldn't find such color (blue) crown 2 backpack on granite gear official website and nowhere else. they have greenish and black colors
Pros:
  • Lots of features
  • expendable
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Multi day backpacking

kill price good product

This is pack both sides and Front string is a little bit short

It would be nice if the pouch was longer and wider.

But I like it because it's light.

I'm gonna have to use it a little bit more.
Pros:
  • low price
Cons:
  • None

Plenty of Storage

by RamblinMan, from FL, United States Written on July 6, 2020
Upon initial use, it's got plenty of room for storage (which is what I bought it for). I was a little surprised that the shoulder straps are a little less beefy than I thought that the pack would need, but overall it's pretty structurally sound. If you're on a budget and looking to do some overnight backpacking, give it a try.
Pros:
  • Light weight
Cons:
  • small shoulder straps
Best Used for:
  • Overnight backpacking

Overall, Great backpack, but beware torso length

by Zackery, from UT, United States Written on July 2, 2020
Just bought this last week, then promptly went on a 5 day 90 mile trip through the Wasatch mountains. Top has ample room for what I use it for, the belt was easily adjustable, and the belt pockets are a great size for items to access quickly. The front stretchy pocket was big enough for my 2 man tent, and the side packets are great as well. Nice durable fabric, so I never worried about setting it down or scraping trees and brush, and the waterproof finish was extra nice as I encountered plenty of weather, and the only water that ever got in, was my spilled 3L bladder (my fault) which fit nicely inside the interior pocket.
Now for my only complaint. I'm a 5'9" guy with an 18-19" torso length. I bought a regular (18-21") and felt like it was too short. With the belt super tight on my hips, there simply wasn't enough adjustment to keep the pack off my shoulders! I got a "killer deal" on the pack so I can't complain even if it becomes a pack for my wife or kids, but it was disappointing to have such tired and worn shoulders after the 5 days, so no 5 stars.
Pros:
  • material, durability, packability
Cons:
  • wears on shoulders
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking

Elegant design

by Wells, Verified Owner from Zhongzheng Dist, Taiwan Written on February 11, 2020
I use this backpack for three days in a 3000M high mountain. The weight is very light, which can reduce my burden and make my trip easier and happier. The only disadvantage is that the fabric is not strong enough, and I will be damaged when I cross the bamboo forest. It must be slow. Pass slowly
Pros:
  • Light
  • Elegant design
Cons:
  • Not strong
Best Used for:
  • HIKING

Best Lightweight Pack For The Money

by Livy, from UT, United States Written on December 4, 2019
I love the Granite Gear Crown2! It's incredibly light, durable, and for the price, one of the best valued options available for getting your pack weight down. I really like the side pockets...they allow me to hold a bottle without worry of it falling out. I like to use Platypus Soft Bottles (1L) and these side pockets are perfect for this bottle. They will hold a 1L Nalgene as well. The big stretch pocket on the front of the pack is great for a w/b shell or first aid kit.

I also love the roll-top closure. Super clean. The Re-Fit belt has make it really easy for me to adjust quickly when I need a waist adjustment.

The construction is as good as I've seen from any pack manufacturer. The fit and finish is top-notch.

Most importantly, this has been one of the most comfortable packs I've ever carried! I did a Canyonlands Maze week-long maze trip and had no issues with sore shoulders, painful hips, or sore back. I started with around 30lbs.

I've been incredibly happy with my purchase!
Pros:
  • durable
  • Well made
  • Comfortable Carry
  • Easy Fit Waistbelt
  • Roll-top Closure
  • Great compression
  • Great price!
Cons:
  • none that I can think of
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking when weight, carrying comfort, and durability are important.
