Great addition for my pack

It can be a bit confusing to attach the lid without instruction. However, Granite Gear has video instructions on its YouTube channel. I like the extra space and organization the lid offers. The material and build are of high quality. I am very happy with my purchase.

Granite Gear Line Loc Lid

Very light and big enough to store my headlamps, snacks and other important small items. However, during my first trip using it I did not attach it to my Granite Gear Blaze. Instead I used it as a hip pack. It is still very convenient to use and will definitely put it on top of my Blaze in coming trips.

  • Very light and offers good volume for additional storage

  • Pricey for that size

Granite gear lid

Looks good on pack, appears to be a useful addition, easy to install, I like having that space on top for easy to grab stuff. Hasn't seen the trail yet though.

Unlike some other Granite Gear add ons, this was clearly designed specifically for their packs. The fit is good, quality build. Kinda pricey, but I love my VC 60 pack and I really missed having a top lid, so I paid.

trying out gear for up coming thru

The line loc lid- very light for the volume- fit my extra layers, lunch and cook kit. Fit well with the Granite Gear VC 60 pack. liked the line system, strong, and as easy to use as straps. It wold have made a good town day pack. In the end I went with another type of pack so I didn’t end up with this pack "brain".

Great two-in-one

Adds much appreciated easy access and storage to my Granite Gear Blaze pack.

Decent for a dettachable day pack for short side trips when you have a base camp. I probably wouldn't want to use it for longer day jaunts or my daily hikes though.

To lid or not to lid

Bought this as an add-on to my Crown 60. Jury's out. Construction is solid, but it adds 25 percent weight to the pack, and doesn't sit well if the pack is not full. You're supposed to thread the shoulder pull-straps through it, which is a real hassle for taking the lid on and off. I don't bother. I bought this mostly for camera gear. It holds my SLR and a couple of mid lens pretty well, and I wear

The line loc lid makes it easy to store maps, snacks and small items i need right away without having to open up my pack and only adds ounces to the already lightweight Granite gear Crown VC 60
