I've been using this bag as an EDC for a couple weeks now and I love it. I have used it to commute to/from work and on a couple short walks so far and it holds everything I need without being awkward. The longer shape compared to a traditional backpack helps keep my stuff closer to my body and makes it a lot easier to carry. I'm taking it as my main bag for a 4-day trip this weekend and I think it will work out just fine for a few outfits and some toiletries. The shoulder straps are very comfortable and the compression straps on the side of the bag are a huge plus at keeping the contents close...

So far, love it!

I've only used it for a few weeks now, so I can't say anything about the pack's long term durability. So far, it is holding up perfectly. It is a great size for day backpacking trips, it has lots of pockets for quick access, and the rain cover is super convenient. Highly recommend.

Great versatile daypack

I wanted a smallish daypack that had a hip belt for more strenuous climbing. This did exactly what I needed to, though it may be a little heavier than some might want. However, I knew going into the purchase that it was designed to also be a city bag and therefore had more bits in it than needed for hiking purposes. Great pack, especially for the very low price on sale.

Perfect Day Pack

I'm 6 foot 205 and this pack is the perfect length. It as enough pockets for just about any venture, and everything about this pack was well thought out. Other reviews mentioned quality and they are right. You will be happy with this pack.

Been using Granite Gear compression sacks for years - awesome - well crafted and probably the best in the industry. Was not aware that they also made backpacks so had to buy the Taku as I have been looking for the right day pack for years and I do believe I found it. I love the ability to organize and this pack has it all. Very comfortable shoulder straps - removable hip belt for commuting purposes but awesome fit when you are hiking. Hard to believe it is only a 24L - very pleased with my purchase - highly recommend any Granite Gear backpack.
