Solid pack, but not as good as first version

Loving the pack I was drawn to the 75L pack, and when I was ready to purchase, Gregory "updated" the line. While this pack stays true to the Stout line offering a great pack without some of the top bells and whistles, Gregory used thinner material and removed a few key features such as loops down the back of the pack, removable hydration day pack, strap expanding large pocket on back (now it's a fixed stretchy pocket - can't fit as much). Overall it's still a good pack, and I'm keeping it, but wish I had purchased it before this change over.

Good for a Dad Bod

The stout worked great for my husband, who carried the most weight and has developed quite the dad bod over the last 9 years. As a result, he needed the extra adjustment features such as the torso, hip belt, and sleeping bag entry adjustment. Being old school campers, we found the draw string at the top a little complicated and not as intuitive and straighforward as past designs.

Love this backpack

This is a great overnight packing pack! My only critique would be that it doesn’t come with information on how to adjust the back board and that you can’t completely remove the inner separator at the bottom.

Great for Multiday backpacker

Used this pack several times for week-long boyscout backpacking trips. This light weight 75L pack works well and better than my other more expensive packs. If you are looking for a light weighted high capacity backpacking pack, this is a good choice.
