These have been outstanding for me so far! Last week I tried to hike to the Falls in Ousel Park but had to turn back 1/4 miles from it. I'd already taken one hard fall and the rest of the trail ahead was steeper and icier. This week I wore these Grivel Ran Traction crampons and it was a night and day improvement! Despite being even worse this week I zipped along like a mountain goat, never losing grip even once! These a game changer for sure.
They fit fine on my size 11 shoes, but would not stretch to fit over my size 11 pack boots. Probably an XL would have still fit my shoes while having enough room to go over my boots. The XL is out of stock and I'm not sure if they'll be back in stock before things warm up but I'll probably order them anyways just to have later.
Recommended!
Pros:
Very solid on my shoes
Tremendous traction on ice!
Pretty easy to install
Don't move or shift around at all.
Cons:
Sizes run slightly small
Not idea if you have to cross pavement
Not a huge help in the mud, more for ice
Best Used for:
Trail running, hiking, icy sidewalks
Would recommend: Yes

Put these bad boys through there paces today. A 20 mile hike over frozen ground, ice, frozen deep heather, up and down hill and spme muddy ground, excelled at all. Size 10 boot and XL Yuedge. Walked with a large group and I was the only one with spikes. Quite a few of the group ended up on their arses, thankfuly no injuries. I was like a mountain goat! Wore them for the full 20 mile, very comfortable. Walked a short distance on the road, 20 yards or so. They were very stable. They are comfortable to wear, couldnt really feel them, accept on the road. Durabilty - checked them when I got home, as were when I opened the packet. Only time will tell. To recap, the best £16 ive spent. Fantastic traction, comfortable. If you are an avid walker and dont want to be put off by the weather and dont need crampons, get these, you wont be disappointed. As a side note one of the group had those yak yaks on, lost them in the deep heather.
