Most Helpful Positive Review Glacier Stainless Tea Kettle - 1 Quart
The Glacier Stainless 1 Quart Tea Kettle was my third attempt at locating some type of a cooking pot that would allow me to pour small amounts of liquid without having some portion of the liquid spilling on the ground. The spout on this kettle is excellent. It works as one would expect. I am no longer spilling coffee on the ground as I pour it a little at a time through a small funnel into a narrow mouth container. I have tried two other cup type pots for my morning coffee. (one of them even had a "V" type spout on the side) They both continually spilled liquid as I attempted to pour small amo...

Great product.

This tea kettle has a great design and works well. The only issue I had with it was that the handle also heats up, so I had to use a pot holder everytime I boiled water. despite this, it's probably the nicest kettle I've had.

Stainless steel, so the safest for a tea pot!

by FARMERIK, from CT, United States Written on July 24, 2019
Other than breakable glass or ceramic, I think Stainless steel is the safest material for a tea pot. I plan to use it with the Trangia 25 and a pot stand, but any sort of stove should work. It is too large to fit down into a Trangia 27 though.
Pros:
  • Stainless Steel
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Tea/coffee made in pot

This little kettle is exactly what you would expect and the quality it better than I expected. Lightweight but not tinny. Sturdy feel. If you are looking for a tight little number to make a quick cup 'o joe or tea in the woods, this is great choice.

There's Nothing More Annoying Than a Preselected Choice or Answer

by Richard N., Written on June 17, 2016
As I opened this product review I could not help but notice that the five star choice had already been selected. I hate to disabuse whomever it was that presumed they could read my mind, but although this small kettle is well made, it is not a five star kettle. It is a three or, perhaps, a four star kettle at best. But I would like to thank the loyal Campsaver employee who thought they could sway my review of this mediocre product.

Ŕounds out my kit.

by PappyHiker, from PA, United States Written on December 14, 2014
I already have the same kettle that is made of halulite. It has been one of my most used pieces of cooking equipment. However, I didn't like cleaning the halulite kettle after it was used over a camp fire. It was very hard to clean. That is why I bought this one, made of stainless steel. Much easier to clean after being used over a camp fire. Now this one is a little heavier than the halulite kettle, so it will be used mainly for base camp operations. The halulite kettle will still questions used, only as my go to kettle for backpacking, should I decide to take one.

Decent little kettle

by james o., from NY, United States Written on November 20, 2014
holds a liter of water, boiled 2 cups in 4min 22sec using a trangia outside, great quality stainless. Comes in handy freeing up other pots & allows you to cook steady, boiling water as you prep in other pots

Cute but useless

by Whelenshooter, from ID, United States Written on May 25, 2014
Although this is rated as holding a quart, it would be filled to the gills and overflowing. With the location of the spout, a reasonable quantity for it to hold is about three cups. Since I usually use a Snow Peak 700 for a cup, the contents of the GSI Tea Kettle will fill the cup once, with only enough hot water left to give my Snow Peak 700 a half-hearted rinse. I wish they made a larger vers

This is one of those things that just is what it looks like. No frills, no gimmick. Kind of nice actually.
