I am retired Army Special Forces and have spent my life in boots. I have bad feet some old fractures, a broken big toe and plantar's. I look hard for boots that fit well. I bought the Tatras in Aug. 2022 and have put 100s of mile on them. They just did the 2nd grouse season in WI were it rained again for 15 plus days boots still water proof! Pheasants in the Dakotas and Kansas, Elk and deer hunting in CO great support for side hilling and steep terrain. Additionally I have bird dogs and we walk 3 miles or so every morning and the Tatras are the boots I wear. Waterproof, lining is great soft and comfortable they do get a bit hot when temps reach 70 but they breath well and are much more comfortable then non-gortex water proofing. I have also hunted the CO mountains in 6 inches of snow with them with no problems, love the ball bearing lacing system helps keep your feet in place during steep descents and climbs. Soles are hard enough to cover rocky slopes with great ankle stability. These are great boots, they did take about 3 weeks to break in mostly because of my foot problems. After 2 years they are still in great shape. I love these boots and will buy them again. Really well built foot wear.

I have used this boot extensively while guiding hunts in Texas. The terrain is very rough in the area we hunt so I was looking for equally durable boot. The Tatra delivers. Support, traction, totally waterproof. Not unusual to be nasty and bloody by the end of hunt. They clean up and the soles do not show any excessive signs of wear despite the rocky terrain. Definitely not an every day casual boot, but they are one helluva of a hunting boot. 15 hours days are no problem.
