Most Helpful Positive Review HIGH Cot Max
Received the LEGS today. The Cot Max Convertible is now the ultimate COT for a multitude of uses. They include a spare cot for home, car camping, base camping, hunting, or any where you need to get off the ground. The cot comes in a bag the same size as the original cot max. The 16 legs are in a separate bag. They add some weight but not much as they are only 11.25" long. They raised the cot to 15" (same as the smaller High Cot). To install them, insert in the holes provided until they snap in place. Removal is easy, as the snap is gentle and only enough to keep them from falling out as the co...

Almost Perfect

by JHull, from VT, United States Written on February 8, 2023
I own the cot max as wall as the cot one. I bought the max because of it's width and the leg extensions. IMO these cots are extremely well made. I fully expect they will outlast me. The only problem I have with the max, is its length. It is too long to fit in most 2-3P tents, especially if you want to use the leg extensions. If you buy this cot, just make sure your tent has the length and height for the cot. I really hope Helinox offers a standard version of this cot at some time in the future.
Pros:
  • Rugged, Easy to set up, Packs small
Cons:
  • Too Long!

Cot Max Convertible - Black

by Stormin, from NC, United States Written on June 4, 2021
Took awhile to find the right sale and work up the nerve to spend so much money on a cot. It is a fantastic design. The thing that kept from a 5-star review is that I got the black version and it shows dirt streaks and dust. I am planning to return and get the tan. I know the dirt will still be there, but I won't be able to tell. For the cost of this cot, I feel as though aesthetics are important. I hadn't see any other reviews that mention this, so thought I would bring that into the light.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Attracts dirt

So comfortable!

by Keeb, from CA, United States Written on August 31, 2019
I used this for over a week in my tent camping along with my thermarest neo air sleeping pad I felt like I was sleeping on a goose down comforter. So comfortable! I’ve never slept so good outdoors in my life. Although it’s long so it barely fits in my msr nx3 tent but I made it. Would highly recommend for side sleeping, I did and it worked spectacularly.
Pros:
  • COMFORT
Cons:
  • Longer than anticipated
Best Used for:
  • Side sleeping outdoors

Great product and worth the money

by CharlieP, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on October 27, 2018
We’ll engineered like all Helinox products. Very easy to set up, light and very comfortable. Disassembling was a problem when following the Helinox instructions. I found a you tube which showed the trick to disassembly. I’m not quite sure why the Helinox instructions weren’t better but it’s a great cot nonetheless. Expensive but worth it. I’m not a hiker but seems a bit large for that. Works great for motorcycle camping.

Appreciating the small pack down size and weight. Along with the Helinox chairs, packing and lugging the camping gear much easier now.
