Great knife!
Great small knife that I carry daily. The blade is very sharp. The handle is short but fits the hand well. I'm not a big fan of folding knives but also didn't want an oversized, heavy fixed blade. This knife is well built and light weight!

Excellent Knife!
This has been my EDC knife for the last eighteen months and I have found it to be excellent. It came sharp and it is easy to keep sharp. The handle is large enough to fit my hand and to give me control over the blade. The blade is the right proportion to the handle so that I can use the knife for both carving and day to day cutting. I have found no place that makes the knife seem awkward or painful to use. I also like the way the knife fits in the sheath and particularly the tab that locks the blade there. Occasionally I try other knives for a day or two, but I always return to this one. I carry it in my right front pocket and rely on it to do its job whatever that may be.

Great design, with a few minor flaws
I bought this as a hunting knife in order to keep my cold-sensitive fingers from being frostbit, again. The insulating wood handle is perfect in that regard. Palm-filling, but with a shape that allows great control with or without wearing gloves, the ergonomics of this knife are fantastic! In my large hands, it felt good regardless of the grip I used. Sharp right out of the box, the Nying only needed a little stropping to get scary sharp.
As for the flaws, the handle material is just ugly; mine has black knots (though tight) and no figure at all, unlike the product photo. The blade, though polished, has deep tooling marks, like finishing it was done in a rush. Neither of these seems to affect performance, but just a bit disappointing after seeing the pictures and other Helle knives up close.
If you can get it at a good price, this is a great utilitarian knife!
