This is a great shell jacket made by Helly Hansen. There is no insulation and as such it is great for placing over a comfortable base and jacket; conditions depending. What I like. I love the lime green color. It stands out and goes well with other bright hues. At first thought I felt the jacket was designed strange..where a large seam protrudes slightly above where a too-short t-shirt would land on someone. It looked strange wearing it. Great Shell!

When I first looked at the jacket I asked if I could return the jacket. In order to vent it you have to open the pockets, well that means your pockets will dump all over the ski hill. I decided to try it. Wow, awesome coat, it was windy and nothing penetrated. It was also warm, I stripped my midlayer and was very comfortable. This is an awesome jacket. I would give it a 5 if it had better vents.

  • Bad vents

Great Looking Coat

I love this HH coat. Allows for fledible layering options for bother winter & spring skiing. The design of the coat give allows for the best range of motion I have seen in a ski coat. And he lifepocket is something I really look forward to using this winter. And that color is loud! Great coat!

Fits well, pit zips are in a different than expected place

Fits well*, looks nice, but has some oddly placed zip pits. The are more in front, than under the arms. I hope that's not an issue. The pit zips don't like up completely with the Arcteryx Atom LT that I intend to wear under this shell, but maybe that's ok? I intend to use this for snowboarding.

I purchased a medium. I am 5'10", 175 lbs, and I have a beer belly :)
