These are the only way to go on hard-packed snow or ice. I tried several other traction devices, including the ones sold at Costco which are totally worthless, and these are by far the best. Well worth the money!
I have only used the microspikes once since receiving them as we have had a seriously mild winter here in Montana, but they performed well when I did use them. Very comfortable and stayed in place on my feet. Can't wait to use them again next winter!

The bag is big enough to fit the spikes without much trouble (esp. important when your fingers are cold/numb). I don't use it much, though. The spikes are lightweight and bunch up small enough to easily fit in pockets when I'm running (and don't need them anymore). It is a sturdy bag and will come in handy when it's time to store them until next winter.

The micro spikes & tote are awesome. These micro spikes provide such confidence when hiking in icy or just snowy conditions - when there is too little snow for snow shoes. Camp Savers delivered them quickly & accurately.

Are the spikes sharp? Not really, but if you have any gear that you don't want to snag or maybe puncture, this back will do the trick. It's a one-size-fits-all bag so an XL set is a tight squeeze. The upside is it keeps the mud & water in the bag and not on your equipment. For ten bucks it's a luxury, but a few extra ounces in the pack It's not a bother.
If you want, clip it to the outside of your

I used this to store my kahtoola microspikes while in my hiking bag. the material is durable to prevent punctures and therefore protects both my bag and my stuff in the bag from the microspikes
