I have never purchased a product by KAVU, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this sweater. But I was soooo impressed when I unwrapped it from the packaging. The material is extremely soft and luxurious feeling. The blue lapis color is incredibly beautiful in person and honestly would make anyone's skin radiate. Besides the beautiful exterior, however, I was most impressed with the quality of the sweater. It is lined with a medium gray almost jersey/merino feeling fabric that truly insulates the sweater as well as makes it super soft against your skin. Sometimes, when you buy a "fuzzy" sweater, you just get the fuzzy fabric... but this Alberta sweater by KAVU really went above and beyond to provide an inner lining that seems like quality fabric. The overall fit of the sweater is just like any crew neck sweater, with a nice banded waist that lays nicely on my hips. I am 5'10", 160lbs, 29" waist at the navel and 39" hips; I ordered a large because I have broad shoulders and an athletic build. The large was perfect! My only gripe, which is why this sweater has 4 out of 5 stars, is that the arms are just a touch on the shorter side. It really isn't bad or a problem, but I wanted to put that out there for people to know. All in all this sweater is incredibly well made, it's beautiful, it's unique, and it's warm and cozy so you'll be wearing it when you study, go camping, etc.
