Kelty Coyote 80 pack

by Pilgrim, from NSW, Australia Written on May 1, 2019
The pack has already exceeded my expectations straight out of the postage box. I only ordered it from Campsaver.com ~ 2 weeks ago, and it's already at my doorstep here in Australia. I already own the Kelty Redwing 32 in Ponderosa Pine for my day pack and I love it. The Coyote 80 however is the perfect size for my multi day adventures. The 'Perfect Fit' adjustment system for the back support is super easy to adjust within seconds, even for a newb to the hiking culture like me. The pack itself is very light in weight for the capacity and additional features, and wont contribute a great deal to your total load out weight. I can't wait to go and hit the mountain trails with this pack. Thank you Kelty and Campsaver for the outstanding quality and reasonable price.

Amazing backpack!

by Daniel, from TX, United States Written on March 30, 2018
Do yourself a favor and get this backpack. Fits perfectly as described and the top removes for a Daypack. Also awesome for bring your fishing poles or camping rods in the side pocket. Personally I like the color black... This make sure when you're on the 2 week long backpacking trip in the Wilderness Area and it gets dirty then it will still look clean!
Pros:
  • Perfect fit, day sack, Side Pockets
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Week long backpacking trips

Decent Beginner Pack

by jung sik, from GYEONGSANGBUK, Korea, Republic of Written on March 6, 2015
This is a good mid-sized pack - not too big, not too small. It works great for weekend treks but I wouldn't really want to use it on longer trips. There is no divider in the main compartment so you may need to to take a bit of extra care and planning in how you pack it. I'm also in agreement with Brandon. The detachable lid gave us a bit of trouble as well. That said, the pack is lightweight and comfortable to carry, which are obviously very important considerations! It's also pretty easy to adjust, even on the trail, so points for that. Overall, this is a decent pack for a good price.

Coyote pack

by Ryan K., Written on January 12, 2015
Although I haven't taken this pack afield yet, I did load it up and got a feel for it in my living room! My ONLY gripe about the pack is the mesh divider that holds your gear in place when you unzip the front access panel. It seemed to get in the way while loading so I took some Velcro with adhesive on the back and used it to secure the divider to the back of the access panel on the inside of the pack. Easy fix and now I can't wait to try it out on my next trip!!!
