It great simple tent, and a streamlined profile makes it more weather-resistant!
Easy to set-up, has decent quality materials, and is a good option for budget backpackers.
The Grand Mesa is a double wall tent, making it usable with or without a fly.

Great roomy tent for 2 people: easiest tent set up I’ve ever had. Good airflow and lots of pockets throughout the tent. Great otherwise for the price.
I also bought the Kelty footprint and it fit perfectly.

I got this tent for scouts. I bought a second one after I used this tent. The put up and take down where done in less then 2 minutes each. I love this tent and look forward to more camping with this tent. I also got the footprint for this tent. I slept better than I do on a camp out with this tent and footprint. I stayed warm and my inflatable air pad stayed aired up. The second tent is for my son who just got his first class rank and can now sleep on his own.

Amazing price for a backpacking tent. The vestibule area is a little small to store 2 backpacks, but it will fit. It’s an easy set up and fits 2 people. The footprint is sold separately, but it is still cheaper than other tents when purchased together. You still get decent quality despite the low price!
Cons:
- Small storage, footprint sold separately

Perfect tent for me and Bosco, my dog. Simple and elegant 2 pole design and freestanding at a minimum weight. I did not trust a no pole design that required multiple stake out points which can be very hard to set up unless you always camp in grassy parks. In the real world you can't always find a spot that will work, especially if you take an overnight ferry which I have done many times while motorcycle touring. At under 5 pounds, it beats soundly a no pole design. When set up it is nice and taught, no sagging, and is ez to pick up and move if need be. Seems very well made and thought out.

This is a pretty good tent for the price. It’s a little too heavy to be taking backpacking but will hold two people fine and is very comfortable for one person. The cubes stuff sack is nice - easier to store than the classic tube design.

The tent's inaugural trip was eight days in the Flat Top wilderness in Colorado. It rained/hailed all but two days. The good: no leaks (which I would certainly hope for from a brand new tent); enough space for me and my backpack; nice fly coverage with vent. The bad: whereas the tent zipper was smooth and easy to use, the zipper on the fly is rough, sticks, eats the fly material, and already has derailed--I'm worried it won't last long; the front of the fly slopes over the sloped entry way to the tent itself, so if it is raining, when you unzip the fly, the rain comes straight into the tent; the tent's stuff sack is a strange, far-to-big rectangular shape that is awkward to tie onto the pack.

Have slept in it solo and with 12 year old Son, plenty of room either way.. Not the lightest option on the market but definitely best bang for the buck at a little over $100.. Quick up, quick down, stable, sturdy and dry.... only criticism would be that the rain fly is a bit goofy on the door end.

I am 5'8", my gf is 5'4". Plenty of space for a stuffed 70L pack and her stuffed 22L pack. Held fine in the rain, though I used a tarp to be safe. So far, 3 overnight stays, and I have to say I am very pleased. Well worth $100. Plenty of loops overhead to organize stuff. Nice and ventilated, too.
