Perfect tent for me and Bosco, my dog. Simple and elegant 2 pole design and freestanding at a minimum weight. I did not trust a no pole design that required multiple stake out points which can be very hard to set up unless you always camp in grassy parks. In the real world you can't always find a spot that will work, especially if you take an overnight ferry which I have done m...

The tent's inaugural trip was eight days in the Flat Top wilderness in Colorado. It rained/hailed all but two days. The good: no leaks (which I would certainly hope for from a brand new tent); enough space for me and my backpack; nice fly coverage with vent. The bad: whereas the tent zipper was smooth and easy to use, the zipper on the fly is rough, sticks, eats the fly materia...

This tent is great, it's built well, light weight, and packs small. The only thing I would say bad about it is it has almost to small of a foot print for 2 people. This is the perfect tent for a solo packer.

I'm a frequent backpacker and paddling guide in the San Juan Islands. I haven't hit the trails with it yet, but the tent holds up well against the ocean wind and Washington rain. It warms up in the morning on the islands, and I have had zero condensation problems. This tent works just as well as ones twice the price, with the same lightweight design. The only difficulty I face ...

Everything I need in a 2 person backpacking tent except only 4 guy lines included for a fly with seven tie down points (4 at upper corners, one each side and back lower edges for ventilation). Also the stakes appear flimsy enough that I immediately bought replacements. I'm sure this is an effort by Kelty to minimize weight. Otherwise standard Kelty quality, It's about 4 lbs on ...

Q The minimum weight of 4lbs 1oz includes what? Also packed measurements for the cube are 15X12X???
A

Thank you for your question. Minimum weight is the weight of the tent, rain fly, and poles. This weight does not include stakes, extra packaging, etc. With the dimensions of the tent packed, the specifications are what Kelty gives us, I would estimate the thickness being around 5" at most. Let us know if you have any additional questions!
