Doesn't cover the floor completely
I got this for free when I purchased the Kelty Salida 2 tent (which is a great tent). Although the footprint is packable and lightweight, it doesn't fully protect the tent floor - there is about 6 in other side (width, not length) where the tent floor bottom still touches the ground. I recommend grabbing one of these for your Salida - Not only will you get more durability and less moisture in your tent, but the added bonus that I just discovered is that it keeps the bottom of your tent clean, so when you're rolling it all up you don't have to worry about letting it dry to clean all the dirt off the bottom! if you know you want a footprint then you should buy this. it's reasonable quality and will fit your tent perfectly.
if you're not sure if you need a footprint then i reckon you can give it a miss. it just adds weight and cost. the base of the kelty salida 2 is already reasonably strong, and unless you plan on doing something silly like camping on sharp stones then i don't really see the point.
