Kelty Salida 2 Dome Tent is a great two-person tent for base camp use: easy setup, simple, and lightweight!
Tent is still in top condition after much travel and abuse.
Highly recommended: 5 stars considering the price.

Easy and quick setup. I love the 2 poles and hooks. The tent is still in top condition after much travel and abuse.
This is a great quality tent for a person who needs a lightweight low priced tent. The Salida 2 has just the right amount of features for the solo hiker or the cozy couple.
Overall 5 stars considering the price.

Kelty Salida 2 Dome Tent is great! Easy and quick setup. It has plenty of space for two, and you don't feel as though you are on top of one another. Salida is ideal for short backpacking trips.
Overall 5 stars considering the price.

Quick setup, nice rainfly, lightweight. The width is cozy but large enough for 2. Aluminum poles are sturdy and spring together quickly. Tent rabidly can be left off for great airflow and views of surrounding scenery and rain fly will insulate and protect from elements. Great price!

This is a tent suitable for novices, but his weight is a bit too heavy, it is a burden on physical strength, plus the storage volume is too large, it is not easy to pack, you need to use a larger backpack to accommodate, overall Is even heavier, I suggest buying a lighter tent

Great Tent, not exactly Lite, but anyway not too heavy...not enough space for 2 people, but for 1 person and for gear space is more than enough... tent holds well, easy to use, not to much space for gear to be left outside, but cooking something outside is easy... biggest disappointment is the staff-pack for the tent... its awful... better to leave it at home... in total normal tent for it's price... budget version for me....

Did a lot of research to find a tent that would be light on my back and on my budget. This would not qualify for ultra-light , but pretty light for a 2-person tent. I checked out solo tents, but they seemed to claustrophobic. Camp Savors's price was awesome and I always have appreciated Kelty's quality. I pulled the trigger and ordered the tent. It arrived while I was out of town. The day I got back, was the same day I was to start a backpack trip on the Timberline Trail on Mt Hood. We arrived at our 1st camp well after dark. My son had also bought the same tent and had zero experience putting it up. I have read some reviews with concerns about putting this up, but I have to say that wasn't us. We had both tents up in less than 15 minutes, in the dark, using our head lamps. That alone made this a great choice. We used the Salida 2 for 3 nights. No rain, but some windy conditions. The tent worked great. I bought it for solo camping and there was plenty of room, as I expected. Some have mentioned condensation problems. Might be with 2 people, but I had no problems. Loved my 1st experience with the Salida 2 and looking forward to the next trip.
Pros:
- Easy to put up and take down; roomy for one; easy to pack; stakes were light and did not bend.
Cons:
- Could be lighter ( I would suggest more mesh and less heavier material); would like larger vestibule, but worked ok for on (Kept pack inside)

I had to replace my two person tent that had been gifted to. It was cheaply made and its days were numbered. I am a fan of Kelty products so I did a search for Kelty tent and decided on the Salida 2 Dome tent. It has quality Kelty construction, and is super easy to set up. The rain fly even makes a small vestibule to keep the rain off of your gear. The side opening door makes for a much easier entry and egress than traditional designs. Perhaps the best part is the pole clips. In all previous tents of similar design, you had to push and guide the poles through fabric sleeves on the tent body. With the Salida 2, uniquely designed clips take seconds to secure the tent to the poles. It is roomy for a two person size, however you will not be able to stand up in it. There is a place to hook a lantern at the top of the dome. Highly recommended.
Cons:
- Does not come with footprint

Initial impression of the package is very good. Came in a small package with multiple separate parts; rain fly, poles, stakes, and the tent.
Setup is super simple. Just lay the tent out, connect the poles, attach the hooks, and you are ready to camp.
Once setup is completed, the interior space can accommodate 1 with lots of space and 2 comfortably. Enough head room to sit and two small compartments for phones and what not. I thought this version came with the overhead net compartment, but I was wrong.
As for durability, I have not spent enough time with it outdoors yet. I will update in the future. But looking at it overall, the construction is excellent.
Best Used for:
- Backpacking
- Camping
- travel

I thought this tent had double doors, and double Vestibules. Either my confusion, or it possibly not clear enough for me wither. I am trying to find a nice buy like this one was but with a double vestibule for keep our gear outside if need be.
