Not so reflective, but works fine as cord

by Ron, from MD, United States Written on March 29, 2020
I had read other reviews stating that the reflective quality was great, but the item I received was not very reflective at all. I know the item is discontinued, but I can't figure out why the reflective properties would be less on the item I received. Works great as cord, but don't buy if you want a very reflective cord.

Good guyline

by Drew, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on March 14, 2020
Sturdy and REALLY visible. I use it for everything- bear bag, continuous Ridgeline, tarp/tent tie-outs.Additionally I've had some of this stuff around and in use for a decade- no probs. Not the smoothest cord but this is helpful for my knot know-how

  • Tent / tape guy

Kelty TripTease

by Aleks, Verified Owner from DE, United States Written on February 28, 2020
I use Kelty TripTease on my tent, but it is great for everything else. This cord is lightweight and durable. It can also be used to tensions tarp and mark other items of equipment for night time. The cord is reinforced by dyneema, but the knots are still fine to tie

Kelty Triptease Nylon

by Ron, from DE, United States Written on July 2, 2018
As I get older I try to find ways to cut down on weight and space in my backpack sto assist me with long portages. I decided to replace all my paracord guy lines with the triptease. When testing the knot strength of the triptease with a sheet bend, it held pertfectly with no slippage. I hope it performs as well when wet.
Pros:
  • Strength, diameter, weight
Cons:
  • None so far
Best Used for:
  • Guy lines

This a phenomenal product, for a great price. I like the small diameter, it is super visible both in daylight and also super reflective.

Sleek but strong guidelines

by Hackman, from Hong Kong Written on July 14, 2015
it's light weight, very strong, and gives a lower overall profile to my tent. I'm replacing the original guidelines with Triptease Lightline for my pyramid tent and they work very well.

Strong and functional

by Jay, Written on April 3, 2014
I was looking for lightweight reflective cord with a Dyneema/Spectra core and was happy to find this match. I don't mind using non-reflective Dyneema cord when soloing, but when in a group, a reflective coat is a must, especially for a tarp.

It's lightweight and stretch-resistant thanks to its Dyneema core. It's not the shiniest cord when flight reflects on it (vs. for example Nite Ize's reflec
