Stove sputters - Kovea Spider Gas Stove

I bought this stove over some other models solely because it had a pre-heat tube to allow it to be inverted in colder conditions. Sadly when I invert the canister it sputters just like the much cheaper option I could have purchased. For that reason alone I am relativity unhappy. Everything else about the stove is great. The flame adjustment is good and the design is smart. Just wish I could safely use it inverted.
