Was told about this stove from a blog review. Respected the person doing the review, so I pulled the plug and bought one. Best decision on backpacking gear I have made in a long time. Does everything you need it to, and at much lower temps than other stoves work at. Have used it at ten degrees with no issues. Can't go wrong with this stove.
Low,wide and stable. If you like cooking food, and not just boiling water, this stove is the one. You can also tightly wrap a wind screen around it without a worry about over heating the canister which means water boils faster and less fuel is used. 5 star.

I'm very happy with my spider stove. I really like the remote attachment to the canister, and the valve has a very precise flow to allow for low simmer with a windscreen. Works well for actually cooking and dry baking on the trail. The quality of this stove is excellent.

Additionally, it is relatively lightweight, fits in my MSR Titan Kettle with a small fuel cannister, and thus far has proven to be dependable and robust on the trail. Like most similar canister stoves, you definitely need a wind screen with this one... Read more

I bought this stove over some other models solely because it had a pre-heat tube to allow it to be inverted in colder conditions. Sadly when I invert the canister it sputters just like the much cheaper option I could have purchased. For that reason alone I am relativity unhappy. Everything else about the stove is great. The flame adjustment is good and the design is smart. Just... Read more

I've had and used many backpacking stoves. As a canister stove, this is very lightweight, stable with even larger pots, and easy to use, allowing one to simmer: it's not for just boilling water. Also, it's easy to set up, and because the canister is set apart from the burner, one may use a wind shield without fear of blowing up the stove. Lastly, one can invert the canister in ... Read more
Pros:
None
Cons:
Seems that it needs protection when packed in backpack.
