Breathes well but it's great for early mornings until you warm up. It has the emo thumb holes at the ends of the sleeves which are kind of pointless but other than that, it's a great piece of kit.

This is one of the most useful sweaters I've ever owned. Fit is great, I'm 6'1", 32 waist, 180lbs athletic, the large fits perfect. I can wear a base under it and it slides easily into a shell or jacket. The material is awesome. It's warmer than heavy merino wool alone, breathes well, and blocks a little wind. The soft shell on the shoulders is a nice feature, I think this sweater will last a long time. It isn't itchy at all, except the neck where the outer material is also on the inside surface, but it's barely noticeable, I don't mode it at all. Overall it's extremely comfortable. It has some stretch so it moves with you and doesn't impair mobility.
For comparison: it's warmer than my 260 weight merino stuff, a little warmer than a Patagonia R3 fleece, certainly way more durable, but also a bit heavier and less breathable. This would be perfect for casual wear or for harsh outdoor use, like carrying wood, moving through brush, and other tasks where durability becomes very important.

Good looking and functional. Wear it under a light jacket often. Can be worn in town, at office, around th house or on the trail. It is a trimmer fit.
