I've had these shoes a few weeks now. They're true to size. Just a tiny bit smaller than expected, but they're already stretching as I've worn them regularly. Great on rock, yet supportive for a long hike. Also comfortable around town with laces untied, easy slip on and off.

I previously owned the TX2 and loved them for their lightweight approach and walk-off abilities. The TX4 is a worthy addition to compliment the TX2. The TX4 offers more support, more durability, and more warmth. I find the TX2 to be the slightly better technical climber but the TX4 is my go-to for longer approaches and overnights when carrying a heavy load. The TX4 runs a bit bigger than the TX2, I down-sized a half size and still find the TX2 to be a slightly tighter fit due to the more narrow design of the TX2.
Pros:
durable
supportive
Cons:
heavier
less breathable
Best Used for:
Alpine
Long approaches
