Most Helpful Positive Review Best shoe ever, until the mesh tears
I love Lems Primal shoes. They are pretty much the only shoe I wear. I had the Primal 1, and I've had 3 pairs of Primal 2's. That's 4 pairs of Primals I've had to buy in about 3 years. The fact that I've bought so many in only 4 years means they wear out pretty fast. Or at least, the mesh does. Th...

Most Helpful Negative Review A great shoe if that's what you're expecting.
A really cool shoe but I wasn't expecting that sort of footwear. Very minimal, and very comfy.

Returns not free

by Pissedoff, from PA, United States Written on September 13, 2021
Returns are not free, they charge you 8 bucks for a shipping label and you have to pay a pricey fee because it ships to Canada,do not use this company, use a reputable company that offers free shipping and returns, paying over 20 bucks for a pair of shoes that are too small sucks,I followed the sizing chart, trying to support small business, they are designed in Colorado and made in China and returns shipped to Canada, not good

Great shoes

by Alice the Maid, from NC, United States Written on July 20, 2019
These shoes are very stylish and comfortable. They don't have as much ground feel as my old shoes but the trade off is more protection against pointy rocks. I am done with my review but campsaver has a ridiculously long character requirement for reviews!

Perfectenschlag

by R, from CA, United States Written on April 24, 2019
I love these shoes. Game changer. Toes have room to breathe. Lightweight. I feel connected to the ground, thus feel more confident walking in them.

This is my first pair of Lems. Won't be my last as I've already ordered three more pair. I don't want my feet to be in "normal" shoes again.

Hopefully, they're durable. We'll see.

Highly recommend.

Pretty Comfy

by Jason S., Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on January 25, 2019
So yeah...pretty comfy but not the greatest build quality. After normal wear and tear (no hikes or anything...just city use) started coming unglued in one spot. Luckily Lems has a good warranty. I probably wouldn’t buy another pair of Lems. The Primal 2s are not as good as my other minimal shoes.
Pros:
  • COMFORT
Cons:
  • Build

Excellent!!

by Angie, from OH, United States Written on December 15, 2018
My son requested these shoes for Christmas, and they are very nice. My husband is now looking to buy a pair :) The price was very good on Campsaver. I first tried to buy direct from Lems, but they were out of stock. So Campsaver came to my rescue! :)

Better than the rest.

by Dustin, from NC, United States Written on April 27, 2018
I have been wearing minimalist shoes since 2012. Surprisingly, the various brands are shockingly different in terms of fit, feel and how they affect your gait. To cut to the chase, I think Lems are the best, and for a long time I couldn't figure out why. But I think it's because of the rounded heel, which makes these shoes genuinely feel like part of the foot rather than a shoe. Lems don't offer the most "ground feel," if that's the thing you're looking for. But I do think they strike the best balance between protection, a little comfort and not adversely affecting the way humans are meant to walk. I cannot think of any other brand of minimalist shoe that gets all of these things right! That said, I do not love the way these look; to me, the brown model is the most attractive and stylish, even though it's neither of those things. These are pretty long-lasting and higher quality than I expected. Are they overpriced? Yes, definitely. But if you're looking for minimalist, comfortable and durable, Lems truly can't be beat.

Great shoe

by B H, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on March 22, 2018
Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Easy to slip on and off with just enough support to walk on Rocks and sharp objects without compromising the bottom of your feet. I have worn these or two weeks since I purchase them and have no intentions putting it in the other shoes on in the new future

Perfect wide minimalist shoe!

by ddjohn, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on January 6, 2018
My feet feel way better when I'm barefoot so I typically wear minimalist (shamma) sandals all summer and mukluks all winter. I had yet to find a in-between show that was both minimalist (zero drop and super flexible) and wide enough for my feet. I had tried vivobarefoot and while they had a wide toe box, it quickly narrowed down causing the shoe to be too narrow by my big toe joints.

I wear these with my correct toes and there is plenty of room which really surprised me! On top of all of this, they actually look like normal shoes! I don't know why shoe makers choose hideous colors and designs for any 'special' kind of shoe but I really like the look of the these! I did buy a size up just because I wanted to make sure I had ample space. They still fit great around the heal and mid shoe while I have the roominess I was looking for around the toes. Have already recommended to multiple people and will buy again!
Pros:
  • flexible
  • minimalist
  • wide-toe box
  • Look nice
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Walking anywhere, urban, rural ,trails
