Put 6-7 miles on these boots on trail 1st out of box and these are Great! Dry conditions so far traction is good and support is great. No Break in and firm support.
Via Ferrata tread is good. Lacing is tight. Changed the insoles to thicker.

It is lighter and more attractive than I thought when I received it. When you wear shoes, you have very good gripping ability and it is very easy to catch the feathers.I would recommend this shoe to people around you.

Moving from leather backpacking boots this seems like a decent boot. I wish the sole; esp., the heel was thicker. I suppose this is due in part that they are somewhat of a special purpose boot for going up rungs in the Italian Alps. I went up a half size and went for wide sizing - I do have a wide foot. These are a narrow wide size which I hear is typical of European boots. The insole has to be replaced for arch support as there is not as much as my leathers and also, for heel protection. Putting in a somewhat thick custom orthopedic results in the right side of my right foot being pinched at times at the widest point of my foot. I used these one evening at home and all day in and outside including walking on pavement with my dog and going in and out of the car and stores. I bought this from the outlet so, I have no major complaint and foresaw that I would have these issues. I would suggest going elsewhere if you need a wide size. I have read another reviewer who also went up half a size and wide and felt they were not really a wide.

I work as Painter and home remodeling. With these shoes the grip on a roof is there better than others great for comfort ( I have narrow foot) you really feel as if the shoes fit like memory foam great fit around the ankle just remember to tighten before you lock into the metal pieces or you can risk creating to much tension that will snap the laces or the metal pieces right off(if you are bending up and down and causing it to stretch that is).
5star this is the second time owning the first time I realized when wet time and time again that bending the toes area it came apart in time but I'm in the Florida heat and rain and there was slight shrinkage. Recommend taking this advise and buying these shoes if you feel this relates to your line of work or your future adventures!
